Q&A:
What is wheelchair dancing? Wheelchair dancing is sometimes called mixed-abilities dance or integrated abilities dance. Our dance combines people with and without disabilities. If the persons with disabilities have physical disabilities, sometimes it is called "physically integrated abilities dance." People may be standing up and dancing with a partner who is sitting in a wheelchair. The type of dance for this event will use contact improvisation dance to music.
Do I have to use a wheelchair to dance? No. Wheelchair dance is for everyone. Our dance focus is on the aesthetic of dance when we are performing and focus on fitness when we are trying adapted dance (Zumba® type of dance) with wheelchairs. For this event, we will partner people with one wheelchair.

Zumba's choreography incorporates hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue, mambo and martial arts. Squats and lunges are also included.[2] http://www.zumba.com/en-US
